Available
We have many tops to
choose from and do not picture all of our woods available, we have
some exceptional quilted and tiger Maple, figured Walnut, Ribbon
Mahogany (Honduras). Contact us for additional information.
Our grading is as follows: Good, Fine, Very Fine, Premium &
Exceptional (An Exceptional grade would be relative to a grading
such as 5A and very fine to a 3A. Grading is different from
vendor to vendor, so we attempt to grade these wood based on our own
experiences when dealing with fine woods... when we give
something an Exceptional grade, chances are you are not going to
find anything better, perhaps equal.

These Coastal Redwood
Vavona Burls are the highest possible grade burl. They are
extremely rare and exceptional in beauty. The California
Redwood is a softwood, however these burls are very hard and dense,
specifically ones such as this coming from old growth trees.
We most likely will not see
many of these, perhaps never again.

These Coastal Redwood and Old
Growth Figured Maple Burls are
potentially Very Fine to Exceptional grade. They were salvaged in the 80's
and have been air dried since that time. They will be reviewed
for the best possible cuts. This wood will provide much of
next years custom tops!!!

Oliepod Burl
This is a South Africa Wood that is a member of the Anacardiacea Family,
the common name is the Currant Resin Tree. The wood is a
medium to heavy reddish brown hardwood with exceptional
figure. It is an extremely rare wood. The tops from this
burl will go for between $200-$350 each.
